Chris Spealler

Owner

Along with running the affiliate, CrossFit Park City, Chris also works as one of roughly 30 Level 1 flowmasters globally, is a head trainer and lecturer for CrossFit Headquarters in both the Level 1 and Level 2 Seminars.

Nearly every weekend Chris is teaching people the nuts and bolts of CrossFit, as well helping them hone their coaching abilities. Chris helped develop the Level 2 Seminar along side other valuable trainers for CrossFit Headquarters. Chris, Matt Chan, and Eric O’Connor have also developed the CrossFit Competitors Course which helps prepare athletes for CrossFit competitions.

Chris is one of a few athletes to have competed in 7 of the CrossFit Games as an individual competitor and has finished as high as 3rd in 2010. Since retiring from competition he has begun programming and coaching individuals in the sport of CrossFit with the development of Icon Athlete.

He lives in Park City with his wife, two kids, and two black labs. If he isn’t stuck in the gym you can find him skiing and mountain biking with his spare time.

Eric O’Conner

Head Coach

Eric started his knowledge for fitness and programming at an early age through his own education and interest and graduated with a degree in Fitness Recreation while competing in wrestling at the Division 1 level.
Following college he furthered his education by getting his CSCS certification which he relinquished after finding CrossFit in 2006 and researched the methodology behind the madness. Eric also works nearly every weekend as one of the 20 flowmasters globally, is a head trainer, and lecturer at CrossFit Level 1 Seminars and CrossFit Level 2 Seminars.
He has also played an integral role in developing lectures and content for the CrossFit Competitors Course, and has competed in CrossFit competitions every year since 2008 placing as high as the top 15 in 2010 at the CrossFit Games. Eric has also assisted people around the world with programming to improve their fitness through online avenues.
Beyond running classes for the adults, he also owns and runs the CrossFit Park City Kids and Teens program.

Doug Zakaras

Head Coach

Doug found CrossFit in 2008 while training at his local community center, home at the time to CrossFit Park City. Shortly after visiting a newly constructed gym space, meeting the community, and getting a chance to experience CrossFit first hand, he was hooked. In June 2009, he attended the Level One Trainer course and began the pursuit of coaching. He has been training and coaching at CrossFit Park City since then, and continues the pursuit of fitness for himself and his clients. Doug handles Membership Services for CrossFit Park City as well as offering personal training and coaching.

In 2013, Doug completed the rigorous process of becoming a member of the CrossFit Headquarters Level One Seminar Staff. After being selected and completing an internship process, he now travels throughout the country helping educate people in CrossFit’s methodologies.

Doug has also worked as an Administrator at a boarding school in Oakley, UT. This experience allows Doug to blend teaching styles, group facilitation skills, and coaching style of employees and students, with his approach to athletes at CrossFit Park City. Doug lives in Park City, UT with his wife Siri and dog Oliver. When not training or coaching, he enjoys being outside, biking, and skiing.

Kenzie Rowland

Coach

Kenzie graduated from the University of Utah with her Master’s in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in wellness coaching. With a passion for health and fitness Kenzie has found outlets in multiple avenues. She has worked at physical therapy practices, helped develop and run bootcamps, and received her CrossFit Level 1 Certificate as well as her Coaches Prep Course Certificate.

Along with running Adult classes Kenzie also coaches with Eric in the Teens & Kids program. Outside of class, she manages the retail department and organizes the newsletter and monthly events for CrossFit Park City to keep the community running strong.

Kenzie spends part time at Montage Deer Valley and assists clients on a daily basis with meeting their health and fitness goals.

Ryan Reilly

Coach

Sports and athletics has been a huge part of Ryan’s life since the early age of two. He has spent the last fifteen years traveling the globe as a competitive Freestyle Mogul Skiing athlete. He now works on the other side of the competitive world of skiing helping coach the next generation of mogul skiers as well as starting to train competitive mogul skiers in CrossFit.

Nearly four years ago Ryan ventured into the world of CrossFit and his passion for it has only grown since then. As a former competitor CrossFit continued to fuel the competitive passion within as well as the desire to help others. Along with improving his skills as a coach/trainer Ryan is pursuing his degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences in the field of Fitness Leadership at the University of Utah; in hopes of training Mogul skiers in the ways of CrossFit.

He not only hopes to become a great trainer, but also hopes to become a great CrossFit competitor along side his fellow trainers and friends.
